Hello all!
It’s been ages since I updated. I’ve been spending quite a bit of time Facebook-ing (I’m chocolatyshatnr over there too!). Let’s see….news….
I got a new job! Still doing the Petsmart thing on Friday nights. It gives me a little bit of extra income to afford a new phone. A Droid, to be exact - Love it! Anyway, the new job is good so far. I’m back doing more clerical-related things, so I’m not standing all day, which almost killed me (or at least my feet).
Got a new external hard drive -1.5 TB, for less than I paid for my 120 GB a few years ago. Maybe the muse will come back and I can finish a vid or maybe start a new one (Scorpy/Sikozu to Bad Romance? Anyone?). I need to do a full re-watch of the series. Maybe this summer when there’s not as much on TV.
We’re planning on moving in a couple of months out of our current apartment – which at the rate it’s been going might not be standing by then. The ceiling in our bedroom was leaking for MONTHS before they could be bothered to come out and fix it. Hope they enjoy the ceiling damage and the stained carpet! If they charge us for damages they are in for a fight! I didn’t really expect them to come and repair the ceiling – they never repaired the ceiling in the living room from when the upstairs air conditioner malfunctioned and soaked the closet upstairs (which has happened several times now – they fixed it just a few weeks ago; hopefully it’ll last until we can get out!). Let’s see – the ancient built-in microwave (it’s from 1983) sparked when I tried to melt butter. The garbage disposal hasn’t worked in a year. The giant crack that’s started at the ceiling is becoming larger and working its way down; it’s only a matter of time before the apartment splits in half. Not to mention the horrendously stupid plan that put two heat/AC vents downstairs – one in the miniscule half-bath (so if the heat is on you can’t stand to close the door because you will pass out from heat stroke) and one across from the front door/at the bottom of the stairs. So everything goes straight upstairs. If the heat is on you freeze in the living room and have to turn on the AC upstairs to compensate. The energy bills are insane. As you can tell, I am very happy to be leaving! :)
Anywho, rambled on enough I guess. I always say I’m going to post more, but I’ll really try this time!
