Ryan: The night before I went to this restaurant to get a basket of these things called "fries quattros quesos dos fritos"; you know, the ones where they inject potatoes with a four-cheese mixture, fry them three quarters of the way, pull them out, batter them, fry them again, and then serve them with bacon and an ancho chili sour cream? Anyway, as I was sitting there, a car speeds right through the storefront across the street. It makes such a loud noise I had to turn my head and look and that is when I overheard the guys with the curlicues on his face tell the other guy in the corner table about the assassination plot.
Shawn: Can that be true?
Gus: No way.
Shawn: I mean, is that even possible?
Gus: I couldn't imagine it!
Shawn: There's no way they could prepare a fry like that; that'd be way too much for the... for the human palate to manage!
Gus: It would be a flavor seizure.
Chief Vick: Gentlemen, please, don't be ridiculous.
Shawn: The Chief's right; let's just, just take a minute here to think this through. They must be parboiling the potato first.

LJ tells me that I have been away for 11 weeks. It sure doesn't seem that long. I guess time is just flying by. Just a few things have happened since I last posted. Well, one big thing, I guess.

I got married! The big day was July 6.

Some ass monkey hit our car in the parking lot on Saturday night/early Sunday morning.  My brand new, less than 1000 miles car.  No note, of course.  And the police won't/can't do anything because it happened in an apartment parking lot.  We have to fill out a DPS form, which means nothing will ever be done about it.

It looks like someone pulling in or out of the spot next to ours cut it too close and hit the passenger side door.  With some speed, too, because not only is the paint scraped off, but there is a horizontal dent there too.  And they know they did something, because someone took their hand and wiped over it to check the damage.  I hope they feel bad every time they see it, and the guilt is horrendous.

So now, my car has collision damage, and we have to fork out a $500 deductible.  I guess someone (something?) knew we had a little extra money this month.

Well, technically an ice day, but the result is the same. Called in this morning. I was scheduled 1-9, but driving home at 9:00 at night did not sound like fun. I guess almost everyone called in, so I feel a little bad, but relieved I'm not the only one who decided not to risk it. Steve's university cancelled classes, so he had the day off, too. Spent the day watching season 4 DVDs of Atlantis. Yay! Hopefully, tomorrow morning will be better, because I'm in at 9 a.m.

I've been trying to find a phone number or email for Dell support for the last hour. My power supply began making strange noises last night. Luckily, I have almost a year left on my warrenty (their site tells me so). However, when I click the link to report a problem, that same site tells me I have no warranty. Grrr....

So, we recently entered the world of owning pets. Well, fish at least. Working at PetSmart I get a discount, and there was an extra discount around Christmas time, so we bought a 10 gallon kit and bought some community tropical fish. I have become stupidly attached to the things, and was devastated when our three black mollies died. We replaced them with Mickey Mouse platys, and everyone seems to be OK at the moment. I refuse to name them because they usually die as soon as I do...
